Glossary of Terms used on
the Tables
The term life span points (lsp), given for tents,
is used to show wear and tear on the tent in question. To use, subtract
1 pt for each 3 times it is put up, 1 pt if exposed to high wind.
2 to 4 pts if exposed to rain fall. Things like hailstorms can take
off whatever you like. They can be repaired in towns by a tailor
or the like. For more see pg. 62 WSG, The defensive points are just
hit points for all constructions. For more see pg. 109 DMG 1st Ed.
All Equipment taken from:
AD&D: Player's Handbook 1st Edition, Player's Handbook 2nd Edition,
Unearthed Arcana, Oriental Adventures, Wilderness Survival Guide,
Dungeoneer's Survival Guide, Dungeon Master's Guide 1st Edition,
Complete Fighter's Handbook, Complete Thief's Handbook, Forgotten
Realms Adventures, Spelljammer Box Set, Arms and Equipment Guide,
Etc.
The weapon prices listed are the prices you buy
them at, not the prices you sell them at. Typical prices you sell
them at is 30% - 50% of the buying price.
Not all weapons will be available everywhere, you would have to
check with your Dungeon Master to see what ones are available at
each shop.
As a general rule, Magic Weapons are not available for purchase
in shops and Oriental Weapons aren't usually available outside the
Orient unless there is someone who can make them and is trained
in their use.
Why all the separate Tables
I could have listed all weapons in one big chart but the would have
been a pain for you. The list would have been HUGE and would have
taken 3 or 4 minutes to load.
I will soon be adding tables for race specific weapons, armor, etc..
Another note on Oriental
Weapons:
Normal characters can't just use them unless they have had a Master
of the weapon show them how to use them. In most of the Martial
Arts Classes, when the weapon skill is taught, the Master also teaches
the pupil how to make the weapon. This is so the pupil gains a better
understanding of the weapon.
