Dark halfelf
Dark halfelves descend from the union of human and drow parents. They reach
about 160 cm. in heigth and they weigh about 60 kg. Dark halfelves are despised
and rejected by both races (especially by drows, who can't accept the fact
that a dark halfelf has human blood in his veins). In some dark halfelf
human features are dominating and they can be seen as humans in public.
Their skin varies from dark brown to blackish; hair can be blond, black,
gray, white, brown, red or any other intermediate hue. Dark halfelves are
usually lone wolves, shy and cold and they always have a strong uneasyness
(it's hard to bear the mark of shame). Their mixed blood gives them attributes
of both races and they can belong to the following classes: cleric, druid,
warrior, wizard, ranger, thief and specialist wizard; they can also have
a multiclass combination. Dark halfelves can be of any alignment.
Players who choose a dark halfelf as their characters have 45 character
points do use in the racial skills.
These points can be spent to create a custom halfelf following the general
skills list detailed later, or they can be spent do buy subrace skill
in block. Up to 5 CP can be kept for later use during character creation.

Dark halfelves racial penalties
Dark halfelves have a -1 to hit penalty when they are exposed to direct
sunlight or Continual Light. They are not penalized in case of dimmer
lights. Additionally, dark halfelves have a -3 penalty on reactions among
dark elves, -2 among elves and -1 among humans. They also have a -1 charisma
penalty.
Dark halfelves skills

Dexterity bonus (20):
+1 to the character's dexterity.
To hit bonus, sword (5):
+1 to hit with short swords.
To hit bonus, dagger (5):
+1 to hit with daggers.
Infravision (10):
36 meters infravision.
Spells (15):
once per day the dark halfelf can cast Luminescence, Dancing Lights and
Darkness as a wizard or priest of the same level. When he reaches 4th
level, he can also cast Levitation, Detect Magic and Detect Alignment.
Magic Resistance (10): dark halfelves
have 15% magic resistance, plus 2% per level.
Spell resistance (5):
dark halfelves have a +1 bonus on ST versus spells.
Reduced sleep (5):
the dark halfelf can sleep only four hours to rest. This is very useful
for spellcasters.
Surprise (10):
when a dark halfelf is alone and isn't wearing metal armos, he has a bonus
to surprise foes. The enemy has a -4 penalty, or -2 if the dark halfelf
has to open a door.
Find secret doors (5):
works as the skill of common halfelves of the same name.
