Magical Wands

Shapeshifting Rod
This is a steel rod about 2' in length and 2" in diameter.  After about a month in someone's possession it becomes attuned to his thoughts. At that point all the owner has to do is concentrate on the image of some item of less than 10 pounds weight that he has seen before, and in one round the rod will transform itself into that item.  There are several restrictions on the type of item that can be created.  It can be no longer than 5' in any dimension, it must be partially made of steel or iron, and the metal must make up a functional and necessary part of the item (not simply decoration).  Magical items can be duplicated, but the duplicate will not have any magical abilities.  The shapeshifting can be evoked at will, but the rod will revert to its natural form after 24 hours without any commands.

Staff of the Illusionist
Similar to the Staff of the Magi, the Staff of the Illusionst serves as a potent tool for the traveling Illusionist.  The following powers draw no charges when activated : Detect Illusion, Light, Color Spray
The following powers drain 1 charge per use:  Invisibility, Chromatic Orb (1st thru 4th), Blindness, Dispell Illusion, Deafness, Improved Phantasmal Force, Wraithform, Fear
The following powers drain 2 charges per use: Phantom Steed (8th level), Improved Invisibility, Chromatic Orb (5-10th)
The following powers drain 5 charges per use: Programmed Illusion, Summon Shadow
This staff gives the wielder +2 on saves vs. magic and +1 on AC. The staff can be recharges by absorbing illusionary magic.  If such an absorbtion exceeds 50, then the staff will detonate (see below). The Illusionist may break the staff with results similar to a retributive strike.  When broken, the staff will create an area of warped reality over an circular area 1' per charge remaining in the staff.  The results within this area are unpredictable (like an alter reality spell run amok). The Illusionst has a 50% chance of being pushed onto the plane of shadow. If he fails, he is subject to the worst of the warped effects being at the center of the effect.
